Mrs Aonima graduated with an LLB from the University of the South Pacific in 2014. While undergoing her PDLP programme she carried out her practical placement in the Attorney General’s Office in 2014. Mrs Aonima joined the Attorney General’s Office in February 2015 and was appointed Assistant Crown Counsel, a post which she presently holds.
Mrs. Aonima's work involves legal research, preparing brief and indictments for criminal matters, providing legal opinions, and also interviewing applicants for adoption and guardianship application and writing Guardian Ad Litem reports for the Supreme Court. She has appeared for a number of criminal cases for the Crown in both Magistrate’s Court and Supreme Court. She has also appeared for a number of family matters in the Supreme Court. She has a keen interest in Criminal Law.
