Ms. Halaevalu ‘Aleamotu’a graduated with an LLB from the University of the South Pacific in 2012. While undergoing her PDLP programme she carried out her practical placement with the Attorney Genearl’s Office in 2013. She officially joined the Attorney General’s Office as an Assistant Crown Counsel in July 2014 , after being transferred on a promotion from the Ministry of Commerce, Tourism and Labour. This is a post which she presently holds.
Ms. ‘Aleamotu’a work involves legal research, preparing brief and indictments for criminal matters, providing legal opinions, and also interviewing applicants for adoption and guardianship application and writing Guardian Ad Litem reports for the Supreme Court. She has a keen interest in International Children’s Rights , Criminal Law and Consumer Protection.
